About
Born and raised in Russia, I initially came to the United States as a high school exchange student to achieve English language proficiency, to obtain a university degree, and to become an attorney, and eventually made South Florida my home. I earned my undergraduate degree in Political Science, with honors, from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and my law degree from the University of Miami School of Law.
After seven years of practicing law at Florida’s top law firms, including an AmLaw 200 firm, I established Olesia Y. Belchenko, P.A., with an emphasis on serving individuals and companies of all sizes. Today, I practice in the areas of business and commercial litigation and advise companies in financial, real estate, technology, engineering, construction, healthcare, and e-commerce industries at all stages of their lifespans on a variety of questions, including, business organization, employment, intellectual property, and domestic and international sales, to name a few.
During my years as an attorney, I have built strong working relationships with my clients and with other members of the legal community, who have recognized my dedication to the legal profession.
My skills have been rated as “superb” on Avvo (an attorney search and legal advice website), and I was consistently selected as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers (a rating service for outstanding lawyers) every year from 2014 through 2019.
I am proud to provide pro bono services to qualifying low-income individuals through Dade Legal Aid’s Put Something Back Project. Moreover, as a University of Miami alum, I have happily served my alma mater as an adjunct professor of business law to undergraduate students, and as an occasional judge at the C. Clyde Atkins Spring Advanced Moot Court Competition.
