Earlene R. Baggett-Hayes is a mediator, arbitrator, attorney, trainer, and facilitator, and specializes in employment, labor, contracts, property, municipal, and probate matters. Earlene has worked in courts at various levels and in several administrative agencies. Ms. Baggett-Hayes has over 30 years of combined litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) experience and maintains her own business, where she mentors law students and teens.
Earlene serves on numerous arbitration panels, including the American Arbitration Association, Financial Industry Regulatory Association, the City of Detroit – AFSCME Arbitration Panel, and the Federal Mediation Conciliation Service, as well as on private employment panels nationally. A member of Professional Resolution Experts of Michigan (PREMi), Ms. Baggett-Hayes hosted a talk show entitled, “It’s All About Law,” which has featured the role of mediation in our businesses, communities, and churches.

Earlene’s educational training in ADR includes the Strauss Institute for Conflict Resolution at Pepperdine School of Law, the International Academy of Mediators, American Arbitration Association, Financial Industry Regulatory Agency, Supreme Court Administrative Office, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Association, various Community Dispute Resolution Centers and Cooley Law School.
Earlene has developed and facilitated over 25 training programs on various ADR topics. She has also published several articles and hosted a cable television program related to ADR, entitled “We Can Work It Out.”
Earlene has been recognized for her work. Among her awards are the 2018 State Bar of Michigan Distinguished Service in ADR Award, Sojourner Truth Civil Rights Award, Woman of Excellence Award, American Business Women’s Professionalism Award, Leon Hubbard Community Service Award and the Business Women’s Professionalism Award.
