Herbert Berkowitz spent his career as a trial attorney and as a Judge, dedicated almost exclusively to the area of civil litigation and plaintiff’s personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Herbert has been recognized by the Hillsborough County Bar for his trial and forensic expertise, his fairness and integrity, and his respect for fellow lawyers, and has been awarded its’ highest Trial Bar Honor by naming him the 2022 recipient of the Herbert G. Goldburg Memorial Award for lifetime acheivement.
Herbert is a long time member of ABOTA, and has served with distinction as the Administrative Judge of the Civil Division of the Hillsborough County Court. He has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell for over 30 years. He now focuses his energy on mediating cases out of the courtroom, in order to save the disputing parties both time and money by assisting resolution of their cases in a much more timely manner.
