Judith Meyer, Esq. is recognized as one of the country’s leading mediators and arbitrators, is a former litigation partner in a Los Angeles firm, a founder of a boutique litigation firm in Beverly Hills and was one of the founders of Philadelphia JAMS in 2004. Ms. Meyer brings a special skill set to each mediation and a professionalism born of years of trial advocacy and an understanding of why scorched earth litigation does not always serve a client’s interests well. In mediation, she makes a total commitment to the parties and their counsel to be their negotiation guide through first referral to final resolution.
In arbitration, she works to bring a fast, efficient, and fair process to the parties. She brings high energy and deep-dive analysis to a process that requires ready grasp of the essential business and legal issues of a dispute and works with the parties to agree upon only truly necessary discovery.
One area where she is most sought after in mediation is in “high-emotion” business and tort cases where she is known for her ability to “calm” a situation and help the parties focus on a successful resolution. In arbitration, she produces cleanly written and thorough arbitration awards addressing the questions of fact and law each party raises. In the last thirty years, she has resolved over 2000 commercial mediations and arbitrations involving:
- Contract disputes
- Mergers & acquisitions
- Employment and workplace issues
- Business torts and fraud
- Personal injury and wrongful death
- Inheritance disputes and will contests
- Medical, Legal and Accounting Malpractice
- Franchisor/franchisee disputes
- Insurance disputes
