Carole McKelvey

Finding Your Solutions

Carole McKelvey

Ms. Carole McKelvey is a Florida State Supreme Court Family and County Mediator as well as being a Certified Coach, whose focus has been helping others embark on a journey full of transitions.  She herself has transitioned from her move from Pittsburgh to Florida after selling her multi-provider counseling practice. Carole decided to focus on working with individuals who experience life adjustments was the culmination of many years of her own changes.  Having dealt with life renewing events herself, she learned first-hand each of us has the strength and resilience to emerge as a better person when left with no choice but to face adversity.

Raised and educated in Pittsburgh, she lived and worked in New York for several years after graduate school. Carole returned to Pittsburgh to be with her terminally ill mother, and in the years after her death, lost several other members of her immediate family. During those challenging years she launched a counseling practice.

Being a therapist and going through some personal life altering experiences has made her a better mediator because she understands the need for compromise. Realizing what is most important in the negotiation helps her guide the disputants to a better agreement that will restructure their families.

As a trained mediator with a background in coaching and as a mental health professional, she brings a level of neutrality, knowledge and compassion to the process, and holds the standard of confidentiality.  By taking the path of mediation to help you, you choose to mitigate the expense of a lengthy legal process and maintain control over the decision making, rather than allowing a judge to decide.
