Fernando Santiago

Neutral Mediation Group LLC

Fernando Santiago

Not surprisingly, parties want and need a mediator who will understand and relate to their side of the dispute.  What is less obvious, but equally true, is that you also need a mediator who can relate to and communicate well with the opposing side.

As a litigator for over 32 years, Fernando Santiago has been on both sides of the table, having represented both insurance companies and policyholders, plaintiffs and defendants, and individuals and corporations.  He represents both employers and employees on employment matters; owners, municipalities, contractors, and subcontractors in construction disputes; and design professionals as well as owners and contractors making design professional claims.   He has also represented both sides on numerous commercial and contract disputes, including those involving insurance coverage and closely held businesses.  Mr. Santiago has also represented both plaintiffs and defendants in negligence actions.

This varied professional experience allows him to relate to both plaintiffs and defendants equally well, which is essential for productive communication during mediation.
