Gary S. Bowitch is an experienced environmental and commercial mediator who has mediated complex multi-party mediations. Mr. Bowitch has practiced environmental law for over 30 years for private, not-for-profit and municipal clients in an array of State and Federal environmental matters which greatly informs and enhances his skills as an environmental mediator.
Environmental Mediation:
Gary uses this expertise in providing Environmental Mediation services to parties seeking to avoid costly litigation and achieve a fair and reasonable settlement of environmental disputes. Gary has been successful in settling technically and legally complex cases, environmental cases often requiring a specific focus on allocation of liability among multiple responsible parties. Gary also brings his extensive knowledge on both legal and technical aspects of environmental disputes involving oil spills, hazardous and solid waste sites, PFAS contamination of drinking water supplies which has helped bring about successful environmental mediation outcomes.. Gary also mediates land use and property disputes between private parties and/or municipal entities.
Commercial Mediation:
Gary provides commercial mediation services for many types of commercial disputes which include those involving breach of contracts, construction, business, insurance coverage, subrogation and consumer claims.
ADR Rosters:
Gary has been approved by the US District Court, Northern District of New York and serves as mediator in the NDNY mandatory ADR program and is on the ADR roster for several judicial districts in New York State.
