With extensive training and experience on the Bench, as well as being a former litigator, Judge Billie Colombaro is equipped to navigate complex conflicts and find creative solutions that meet the unique needs of each party in a Mediation.

Judge Colombaro's goal is to help all parties reach a mutually beneficial agreement that is fair, sustainable, and preserves their relationships if they choose to move foreward after settlement. In Arbitration, it is Hon. Colombaro's objective to reach fair decisions – based on the law and the facts – with an efficient process.

Judge Colombaro is formerly with the New York Courts Commercial Mediation Division, a current member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, a long time Arbitrator and Mediator with the American Arbitration Association, and a Fellow with The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

She created a course, rooted in science, called “The Power of Presence,” which she has taught to Harvard Law Students and lawyers / arbitrators worldwide, as well as to Fortune 500 executives. The course gives attorneys advantages in persuading arbitrators or juries and provides business executives with similar techniques in achieving their objectives in the Boardroom.

Hon. Colombaro serves clients in New York City & Connecticut.  She created a course, rooted in science, “The Power of Presence,” taught to Harvard Law Students, lawyers, arbitrators, & business execs.
