Howard Schulberg

Schulberg Mediation

Howard Schulberg

Howard J. Schulberg has offered his services as an arbitrator and mediator in the civil litigation field for over 30 years.  While most of these mediated claims involve personal injuries, whether a products liability matter, a medical malpractice suit or an automobile accident, Howard’s vast experience has provided a solid background for serving as a neutral in other areas.

His years of service to the City of Pittsburgh provide him with skills in the area of civil rights, whether that involves Section 1983 claims, employment discrimination, ADA claims or other matters brought pursuant to Federal statute or Constitutional law. Commercial matters involving employment agreements, enforcement of covenants or insurance coverage are also issues that are among his specialties for mediation.  Howard has also been appointed by the Judges of the Courts of Common Pleas as a Special Master.

Howard is always interested in presenting on various mediation topics and is routinely asked to present to some of the local Bar Associations, including the Allegheny, Washington, and Westmoreland County Bar Associations.

Howard has enhanced his ADR skills by successfully completing a forty-hour mediation certification training program at Duke University, as presented by Beason & Ellis Conflict Resolution, LLC. This training is also in compliance with the requirements for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania’s alternative dispute resolution program.
