David Louis

David M. Louis is a Professional Family and Divorce Mediator and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst with offices in Chicago and Northbrook, IL. David believes separating and divorcing couples face challenges that can be addressed outside the courtroom, in a setting where they will avoid the expense, the elongated battle and the anguish of going to court.

Divorce mediation offers a safe and neutral setting that provides the opportunity for divorcing couples to develop their own, mutually agreed upon plan for your future. This plan respects the need to protect children from the negative impacts of divorce, as well as their financial security and wellbeing.

As a financial specialist for more than 45 years, David began his career in public finance after receiving my B.S. in Accounting and master’s in public administration. David was then trained as a Mediator in 2006 and founded his divorce mediation practice in 2010. It was in 2011 where he trained as a Collaborative Divorce Professional and received certification as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst in 2012.

David enjoys working with professional teams to ensure each spouse’s voice is heard in the collaborative process and uses his financial skills to achieve a common understanding of their financial circumstances to ensure the two financially sustainable households can grow out of the divorce process.
