Jen Sims has more than 15 years of experience in the public and corporate sectors and has served in various roles of leadership. Previously, she worked at the University of Texas at Austin as their Staff Ombuds, where she established this new office from the onset and led confidential, independent informal and impartial conflict resolution for thousands of visitors.
Her mediation and facilitation experience includes all types of cases ranging from smaller value cases to multi-million-dollar disputes to complex interpersonal cases. She has experience mediating cases involving employment, discrimination, sexual harassment matters, divorce and family issues, as well as real estate and contracts. Ms. Sims approaches each case with a view towards resolution.
Currently, as the owner of Making Talk Work, Jen serves individuals and teams through coaching, group facilitation, alternative dispute resolution services and skills-based training. She specialize in conflict, leadership and personal growth coaching and offers trainings on topics that enhance leadership and build skills. She has led team strengthening and trouble shooting retreats for dozens of agencies.
