Jim Cherry of Cherry Law Offices offers legal, mediation, negotiation, and coaching services using virtual & in person appointments. Jim has been practicing law for more than 50, and for the the last 30 years, has consistently been awarded an AV Preeminent designation by Martindale-Hubbell. At the beginning of Jim’s practice, he was primarily a real estate, construction, and business law litigator as well as a regulatory attorney primarily involving the California Energy Industry.
Since moving to Sonora, California Jim has become a country lawyer, primarily working as a mediator, negotiator, and coach. His law practice now focuses on real estate, construction, business, and collaborative family law disputes. Both Cherry Law and Coach Cherry share the mission commitment to be a peacemaker and peace builder.
Jim works with individuals and businesses as well as institutions, such as State Courts and various schools, helping them to mediate disputes either between faculty or between students. Jim also works with various community organizations, including Rotary, The Mankind Project and the Mother Lode League of Woman Voters to co-create peace and social justice. Jim is honored to be invited to be a member of Lawyers of Distinction.
