TeKay Brown-Taylor is an experienced mediator and conflict management practitioner. With a combination of more than 17 years working with organizations in non-profit management, secondary and higher education, corporate America, and as an Air Force Major with a pending promotion to Lt Colonel in the United States military, she understands the level of patience and knowledge required to manage complex issues.

TeKay holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management and Organizational Behavior with a minor in Accounting from the University of Missouri. She is also an alumna of Webster University’s home campus in St. Louis, MO, where she received her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Human Resource Management. TeKay graduated the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) located in Cocoa Beach FL within the top twenty percent of her class being named to the Commandant’s List. There she received her certification as an Equal Opportunity (EO) Advisor, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Counselor, and Diversity Management Practitioner; and where she now serves an Adjunct Instructor and Small Group Facilitator.

TeKay is a Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution (GODR) Registered Neutral with specialized training in the following areas of mediation:

  • Domestic relations

She has served in roles as chief consultant to businesses and organizations helping leaders manage dynamic human relations environments. Today she serves as the Equal Opportunity Director for the Florida Air National Guard; leading HR training and education programs for over 1,900 Airmen.

Outside of running a company, being an instructor, and serving in the military; TeKay is an avid community volunteer as a court appointed special advocate with Child Enrichment Inc. helping abused and neglected children find stable placements. She is also a board member with the CSRA chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management and committee member with The Lydia Project who’s mission is helping women coping with cancer.
