Alan Himelhoch has spent more than 3 decades advising, strategizing, and representing clients on cases headed for court. He is an experienced business litigator with a special focus on Construction Law, where he represents clients and Alternative Dispute Resolution where he serves as a Mediator, Arbitrator, Case Evaluator or Private Judge.
From the start of his career, Alan has focused on Construction Law and Litigation, where he represents Owners, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Banks and Sureties on commercial, industrial and residential projects throughout the State of Michigan. He has served as Owner’s Representative on construction projects, has written articles and columns, and even wrote a book he uses to train clients on the layman’s way to perfect construction lien and bond claims.
Alan is a member of the American, Michigan and Genesee County Bar Associations, has served on various bar association committees, helped draft Genesee County’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Plan and is the current Chairperson of the Genesee County Bar Association ADR Committee. He is a qualified Mediator in the State of Michigan, is on the approved list of Mediators in many counties, and is known for successfully mediating the most complex, multiparty cases and judges’ “Dogs of the Docket”.
