As a professionally trained mediator, Erik Wheeler is passionate about using his mediation training and expertise to help people come to agreement in a more peaceful setting, rather than the litigation process. Erik helps you work through your conflicts while saving money, time, and preserving relationships in the process.
When conflict arises, often the first inclination is to pursue a lawsuit or other legal means, which can escalate the issue and cause stress and increased legal fees. Even worse, this legal approach leaves important decisions in the hands of a third party, and quite often, with both parties unhappy with the outcome.
Fortunately, there is a better way using mediation which costs less, involves you in the solution, and there’s hope of preserving the relationship thereafter. As a professional mediator, Erik received extensive training in helping people come to agreement, and holds a M.S. in Mediation and Conflict Studies.
Erik mediates family issues such as divorce, post-divorce, parentage, parenting agreements, and estate settlement. He also focuses his practice on mediating partnership disputes and contract matters.
Erik is on the court-approved roster of family mediators, which only approves mediators who have met rigorous standards for training and experience.
