Leah Brown’s responsibility as a mediator is to keep the discussion focused, civil, and productive. Critical listening, patience, and persistence are important. She believes the mediator’s role is an active one; assisting the parties to explore options, re-evaluate positions, and to negotiate a satisfactory settlement.
Leah received her Masters in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management from Southern Methodist University, and and received her Mediation & Family Mediation Certificates from Southern Methodist University in accordance with Section 154.052(a) & Section 154.052 (b) of Texas Civil Practices and Remedies Code and the Published Texas Mediator Trainers Roundtable Criteria.
Additionally, Leah received her 25-hour Mediation Training Certificate, Dispute Resolution Program County of Los Angeles Department of Consumer and Business Affairs. She is a volunteer mediator and observer for Dallas County Dispute Resolution Center, Central Texas Dispute Resolution Center, and Montgomery County Dispute Resolution center
