Mediator's Profile

Marsha-Hackenberg

Marsha Hackenberg

Business Name: Hamilton County Mediators

Marsha L. Hackenberg believes that families in conflict rarely belong in a courtroom where the one person with the least amount of knowledge about their situation will make a long term decision about their life. Marsha takes a two-fold approach when addressing each case.   Conflict resolution and mediation are the first approach, however, should a hearing be required, you can count on experience in litigation to fight for you and your needs as well.

It is essential to understand applicable Indiana laws, set clear goals and identify the path to a resolution that will best support the children’s stability and well-being. Whether through direct settlement negotiations, courtroom hearings, family law mediation or Parenting Coordination, Marsha consistently targets sustainable solutions in the children’s best interests. She is dedicated to providing legal assistance in a compassionate and experienced manner.

Marsha graduated from Valparaiso University in 1996 with her Bachelor’s of Social Work Degree.  In 2001, Marsha graduated with honors from the I.U. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.  After practicing in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate for three years, Marsha transitioned to Family Law with a focus on Mediation.  In an effort to provide families with needed services and options both in and out of the courtroom, Marsha is also a trained and Certified Parenting Coordinator, a Registered Mediator, a Guardian ad Litem and a Mediation Trainer.
