Robert “Bob” Cooper is a civil mediator based in Birmingham, Alabama with more than 46 years of trial and litigation experience. Over the course of his career, Bob has tried more than 100 cases to jury verdict, defending a wide range of civil claims in courts throughout Alabama.
Bob has tried cases in most of Alabama’s 67 counties and in all three federal district courts in Alabama. After serving as a founding partner at one of Birmingham’s leading law firms, he transitioned to serving as a full-time neutral, focusing on mediation of complex civil disputes.
Bob’s extensive trial background allows him to assist parties in evaluating liability exposure, damages, and litigation risk, helping them reach informed settlement decisions during mediation.
