Can minors participate in mediation?

General Mediation

Answer

Sometimes. Whether a child or teenager participates depends on the type of dispute, age, maturity, safety, and the mediator's approach. In family matters, a mediator may obtain information about a child's interests without placing the child in the middle of the parents' conflict.
